AORN CHAPTER 3001 - Looking for new board members

Nominations are being accepted NOW for opening seats on the board. Accepting nominations for the following positions:

PRESIDENT-ELECT (1 vacancy) (1 year term 2022-2023 then transition to President for 2 year term 2023-2025) President-elect is a 3 year commitment. Observes and assists the President in   preparation for assuming the duties and responsibilities of that office. Performs the duties of the President in the absence or inability of the President to act. (As President:  Serves as the official representative of the Association and presides at all meetings of the Association and Board of Directors. Reviews monthly bank statements. Facilitates continuity in transition of the office of the President).

TREASURER (1 vacancy) (2 year term 2022-2024) Monitors the fiscal affairs of the chapter and provides reports to the membership and Board of Directors. Maintains tax exempt status through annual filing of the IRS 990 form and provide proof of filing to AORN Chapter Relations.  Provide a yearly financial report to AORN Chapter Relations to demonstrate appropriate use of funds.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS (2 vacancies) (2 year term 2022-2024) Responsible for monitoring membership. Welcoming new members. Contact members whose membership is due to expire. Review Chapter Bylaws and suggest revisions to Board

NOMINATING COMMITTEE (1 vacancy) (2 year term 2022-2024) Receives nominations for potential candidates for elected positions and verifies AORN membership status. Prepares a slate of candidates for open Board of Director positions for annual membership voting.

SOCIAL MEDIA TECH (1 vacancy) (2 year term 2022-2024) Responsible for creating and administering content on all social media platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram. To build an audience and ensure member engagement.  Familiarity with Zoom video communications and virtual conferencing a plus.

What is the commitment?
Monthly Board of Directors Zoom meetings, and participation in the planning and running of educational conferences/workshops, business and chapter meetings, community projects and social events.

Requirement: Must be an active AORN National Membership and Chapter 3001 NH membership.

Terms begin July 1, 2022.

DEADLINE for submitting your Willingness to Serve form is May 31, 2022.
Voting will be from June 1 to June 18, 2022.
